The original character of this riverfront building has been preserved and revitalised, providing rich detail of the space formally occupied by engineers at the Acetate of Lime Factory. We welcome you.

Engineer’s Hut is positioned at the riverfront of HQ providing an undercover area, enclosed by retractable ceiling-to-floor glass doors making it perfect for any weather event. The area has high ceilings, exposed timber beams and trusses and is lined with wine barrels aging Bavay Distillery’s gin.

Walk out to the wrap-around terrace to overlook the iconic Rivermakers chimney and Brisbane river. The possibilities are endless here when it comes to bringing your dream event to life, this area is a blank canvas awaiting your creative direction.

Can I supply my own food and beverage? We have a custom supplier list available for you to choose from as options for food, drink and bar staff including all of our tenants at Rivermakers HQ. External catering (food and beverage) is not permitted however, you are welcome to bring a cake for a celebration. With the options we have available there is something to suit all events!

What furniture is available? Our spaces at Rivermakers are for dry hire only and does not include furniture. We do have some suppliers we recommend for furniture hire and know the site well. We do have barrels and stools in the Engineers Hut which you are welcome to use if you wish on request.

What AV equipment is included? We don’t have any AV equipment available, however we do have easy power access for anyone needing to set up.

Do I have to clean up? We will arrange professional cleaners to clean the day after your event. We just ask that all rubbish is removed and any onsite furniture that is moved to be put in its original place at the end of the event. Your bond will be returned once the space has been inspected.

Can we bring our own decorations? You can customise the space however you would like, providing that any existing decor is not damaged in the process. No nails, screws or glue may be used.

Is there parking at the venue? We have ample parking available for you as well as any guests however we do not allocate specific parking bays.

How many hours of exclusive use of the venue does the hire fee include? To access the function space after hours will incur a $100 fee. All events must conclude at the latest 11pm.

Can I come and inspect the space? Of course! We recommend a meeting on site before locking any bookings in. One of our Rivermakers team can show the space on any Monday afternoon.

I’m ready to book! What’s next? You may make a tentative booking at any time; however, the date is only secure with the payment of our deposit fee, which varies according to the venue hire.

Is there disability access to the venue? Yes, each function space has disability access.
